In this section, you will need to select YES or NO to all answers, apart from 4.2 where you will have the option of uploading a copy of your Club Safeguarding policy.
To upload a cop of this policy you need to click on the Red paper icon highlighted.
In the pop-up box that appears, you then need to change the document type to Supporting document instead of Generated by COMET.
You then need to click the Choose button and upload your Clubs Policy by double clicking on it wherever it is saved on your device.
This guide will show clubs how to add extra time and penalties on the web version of COMET.
Users with the roles of Club Manager, Club Manager (Junior) and Team line-up Manager are able to add Extra Time and Penalties on COMET.
This can be done in Cup competitions where extra time and/or penalties have been enabled in the competition set-up.
For consistency and to avoid duplication we recommend that the home club adds these additional match phases and records the penalty shootout, however the away club can also do this if the home club is unable to.
On the web version of COMET, the buttons to add Extra Time and Penalties can be found at the bottom of the match page.
To add Extra Time to a match, click Edit at the top of the match page, and then click the +ET button.
This adds the 1st Extra time and 2nd Extra time phases to the match page. If you have added these in error, click the x next to the 2nd Extra time then 1st Extra time to remove them.
Click Save at the top of the page.
Remember to use the match timer (IN PROGRESS/BREAK/FULL TIME buttons) for the additional match phases. Please see the Using the match timer user guide here for further information.
To add Penalties to a match, click Edit at the top of the match page, and then click the +PEN button.
This adds the Penalty shootout phase to the match page.
Click Save at the top of the page.
To record the Penalty shootout on COMET, in the relevant Team tab click on the name of the player taking the penalty.
When the Penalty shootout phase has been added to the match page, Penalty shootout will be listed as one of the options in the Events box which opens when you click the player name.
Tick the Penalty shootout box in the Type section. Add the number of the penalty taker (i.e. in the order that the penalties are being taken, not shirt number), and then in the Penalty shootout drop down menu, select the outcome of the penalty: Save, Miss or Goal.
Click Save. Repeat this for all penalty takers.
