In this section, you will need to select YES or NO to all answers, apart from 4.2 where you will have the option of uploading a copy of your Club Safeguarding policy.
To upload a cop of this policy you need to click on the Red paper icon highlighted.
In the pop-up box that appears, you then need to change the document type to Supporting document instead of Generated by COMET.
You then need to click the Choose button and upload your Clubs Policy by double clicking on it wherever it is saved on your device.
All players, coaches staff and officials involved in football governed by the FAW need to register on the COMET system.
Each person registering needs to sign a registration form, to agree to FAW rules and regulations, and for their data to be stored on the COMET system.
If you are under 16, your parent or guardian needs to sign the form for you.
To sign a form on an Android form, you need to first download the Adobe Fill & Sign App.
This app is free of charge and can be downloaded by going to the Play Store on your phone and searching for Adobe Fill & Sign.
When your club or organisation begins your registration on COMET, you will receive a registration form by email.
The email will be generated by the FAW COMET system and will be from firstname.lastname@example.org.
Your registration form will be attached to the email.
Tap the form attachment and you will be given a choice of how to open the form.
Select Adobe Fill & Sign, then tap Just once or Always, depending on how you would like to open PDF attachments in future.
The form will then open on your phone.
It is important at this stage to check that your details are correct.
If they are wrong or out of date please ask your club or organisation to update them on COMET and send you a new registration form.
Firstly, you need to create your signature.
To do this, tap the pen icon at the top of the screen.
Next tap Create Signature.
You will then be prompted to add your signature.
Do this by tracing your signature with your finger on the screen.
If you make a mistake, you can delete it by tapping Clear at the bottom right of the screen.
When you are happy with the signature, tap Done at the top of the screen.
When you have created your signature, tap the signature box at the bottom of the form (middle row).
Next tap the pen icon.
In the drop down menu that appears, tap the signature you have created.
Your signature will then appear on the page.
You can drag it to the correct space by moving the box with your finger, resize it, by dragging the blue circle with your finger, or delete it by tapping the bin icon.
When you are happy with the signature size and placing, tap anywhere outside the blue box.
You also need to add your name (on the top line) and the date (on the bottom line) in the bottom part of the form.
To do this, tap the name or date box.
When the text box opens, as shown above, you will be able to type in your name and the date using the keypad on your phone screen.
To make the text smaller tap the small A, and to make it larger tap the large A.
If you want to remove the text box, tap the bin icon.
When you have finished, tap anywhere outside the blue box.
When you have signed the form and added your name and the date, the form needs to be returned to the club or organisation that you are registering for.
Tap the share icon at the top of the screen, as shown above.
Enter the email address of your club/organisation contact, then tap the send arrow.
You will then be given a choice of ways to send your form.
If you choose to email the form back to your club or organisation, enter their email address and tap send.
The registration form will be attached.
Your signed form will now be with your club or organisation who will upload it onto the COMET system so that your registration can be confirmed.
