In this section, you will need to select YES or NO to all answers, apart from 4.2 where you will have the option of uploading a copy of your Club Safeguarding policy.
To upload a cop of this policy you need to click on the Red paper icon highlighted.
In the pop-up box that appears, you then need to change the document type to Supporting document instead of Generated by COMET.
You then need to click the Choose button and upload your Clubs Policy by double clicking on it wherever it is saved on your device.
This guide will show clubs how to add details of substitutes where a competition allows rolling subs.
Users with the roles of Club Manager, Club Manager (Junior) and Team line-up Manager are able to enter match events on COMET.
Where rolling substitutions are allowed, i.e. players may go off and come back on again, the process for marking who has played is slightly different, as shown below.
Currently, rolling subs are only able to be recorded using the web version of COMET. Therefore we would recommend that a club marks all substitutes as Played before the match on the web version of COMET when selecting the team line up. This will allow goals to be allocated to the player using the mComet app, should they come on to the pitch. You can see how to do this below.
Please note - you can access the web version of COMET through the web browser on your mobile phone as well as on a computer.
When the team line-up is selected and Confirmed, it will show as above.
The substitute players are those shown in italics below the line underneath the starting line-up.
As mentioned above, rolling subs can currently only be managed on the web version of COMET. We therefore recommend that all substitutes are ticked as Played before the match on the web version of COMET, when the team line up is selected.
To select a substitute player, click on the name of the player. The Events box will open, with the name of the player listed at the top. Click the checkbox next to Played to show that this player has featured or will feature in the match (if they do not feature you can untick the Played box after the match).
As shown above, until the player is marked as playing in the match, the only match events you can allocate to them are red or yellow cards.
When you have ticked the Played box, the further options of Goal, Own goal, Penalty and Missed penalty will also be available.
Click Save to confirm.
You do not need to add a minute of substitution or the player being replaced, as a player may go on and come off the pitch multiple times.
If you do not mark a player as Played, you will not be able to do this on the mComet app, and you will need to add the details of match events (other than cards) allocated to the player on the web version of COMET at your earliest opportunity after the match.
After a substitute player has been marked as having played, the green and red icon as shown above will show next to their name.
